This Husband and This wife (Wedding, C/D)
VERSE 1
You made a little boy and grew him to a man
You brought him to this lovely one who gently took his hands
He looked into her eyes, they made a vow for life
O Lord we thank You for this husband and this wife
CHORUS:
We thank You Lord, for Your power through the years
As they follow in Your footsteps into love that keeps them near
And even though their griefs might cut them like a knife
Let no power but death divide this husband and this wife
VERSE 2
When the years mark off their anniversaries
Let the vows they make today be more than memories
And in their faithfulness, may they bless our lives
O Lord we thank You for this husband and this wife
CHORUS
VERSE 1
TAG
We thank You for this husband and this wife

FOR THY COVENANT MERCIES’ SAKE (PSALM 6)
VERSE 1
O Lord rebuke me not in Thine anger, nor chasten me in Thy hot displeasure
Have mercy on me, O Lord for I am weak, O Lord heal me!
O Lord I’m weary with all of my groaning, all night my bed is swimming
I grow old with grief from all my enemies, O Lord help me
REFRAIN
Heal me, help me, my soul, my bones are troubled
How long must I wait, down in the grave who can thank Thee?
Heal me, help me, my soul, my bones, are troubled
O Yaweh save me, for Thy covenant mercies’ sake
VERSE 2:
Return to me O Lord, and deliver, raise up my soul from this dark prison
This lonely gloom, like a forgotten tomb, O Lord free me!
Depart from me, ye workers of evil, God hears all of my weeping
He has heard my voice and He has heard my prayer, He receives it!
REFRAIN
BRIDGE:
Let all my enemies now be troubled, in sudden shame and vexation
Lord Thou art steadfast when I suffer, Thou hast heard my supplication!
REFRAIN
